of 1,000 miles per

will save the world,
and transports you in

The First of Our 2009 Tours

Earlier than usual, Adventure Cycling is opening registration for seven of our most popular and challenging tours – from three months to one week, supported to self-contained, winter warmers to southern delights. Watch for our full tours roster in November 2009.

2009 CROSS-COUNTRY TOURS

Here's your chance for the adventure of a lifetime, crossing America by bicycle. Register today for one of these expedition-length adventures:
  • TransAmerica, self-containedthe classic tour, under your own power – as Rick Wojciak, a TransAm rider, said last year: "There will be other trips but I don't think they will be able to top this one."
  • TransAmerica, supportedthe classic tour, but your gear is carried -- same intimate feel, much lighter load
  • Spring Southern Tier, self-contained – ride from sea to sea, desert to bayou, experiencing an array of cultures and delicious cuisines
  • Fall Southern Tier, self-contained – same tour, a second wonderful time, a different season

2009 EARLY SEASON EVENTS

Grab a spot now on one of our shorter, early season supported bike trips and get tuned up for spring riding season. These were popular in 2008:
  • California Winter Warmer – a splendid spin along the sun-drenched roadways of Southern California, inland from San Diego
  • Southern Arizona Road Adventure – an unforgettable ride through the high Sonoran Desert south of Tucson
  • Texas Hill Country – German-style biergartens, carpets of wildflowers, crystal clear streams. Starts and ends in Austin, Live Music Capital of the World
