To travel by bicycle is
a humble, nonagressive
way to get close to people.
It is a way of saying we
are passing through with
no thought of invasion or
conquest, only the simple
will to share a part
of the war.
- Claude Herve

Web Tools, Resources, & Information

BIKE BITS
Bike Bits is a free, twice-monthly email newsletter that features brief articles of interest to recreational cyclists, upcoming events, and bicycle industry news. It's a quick, informative read, distributed to tens of thousands of cyclists across the nation every two weeks.

THE CYCLISTS' YELLOW PAGES
The Cyclists' Yellow Pages is a worldwide resource guide for anything bike-related. The Cyclists’ Yellow Pages includes state and country specific listings, bicycle tour books and maps, non-profit groups, and much more.

HOW-TO DEPARTMENT
There are a bunch of great articles in our How-to Department that talk about touring basics, including hints on technique, shipping bikes, purchasing new wheels, and much more.

PUBLICATIONS ARCHIVE
The Publications Archive includes past feature articles, technical how-to's, and columns from Adventure Cyclist magazine and Bike Bits e-newsletter. It also contains free clip art.

RIDE REGISTRY
You can enter your own ride and review others’ experiences. Each description includes a trip summary, a favorite experience, and miles traveled. It is a great source of inspirational words and insight. Find over 600 rides at www.adventurecycling.org/ride_registry/review_rides.cfm.

JOURNAL LINKS
If you enter your trip in the ride registry, and provide a link to your online journal, your trip will appear on our journal links page (add rides as far back as 1975!) By sharing your thoughts and experiences you will help others learn and understand how satisfying bike travel can be.

BICYCLE FORUMS - ANSWERING YOUR QUESTIONS
You can post a question on one of our forums to seek a reply from experienced bicyclists, or simply browse the messages.
