Bicycle Travel Keeps Giving

At the end of your journey what’s left? Things you can always carry with you: memories, connections with new friends, images of the beautiful and the unusual - in short, the wealth of experience. First time visitor to this site?

Meaningful Connections – June Curry, also known as The Cookie Lady, was recently featured in a wonderful public radio piece on Virginia Public Radio WVTF. Cyclists from around the globe have found a respite from their travels in her bike house where the cookies, hot drinks, and storytelling are rich and plentiful. June is a treasure. Learn about how cyclists have now given back to her. Listen now.

Portrait GalleryMemories – Featuring the work of co-founder and art director Greg Siple, our Portrait Gallery is a photographic history of the thousands of cyclists who have spun though our Missoula headquarters on their way from and to all corners of the globe. This week the gallery has been updated with new profiles. Visit the gallery.

Dreams to Fulfill – Spend the holidays dreaming about (or planning) your next bicycle travel experience: explore our Routes & Maps, visit our How-To Department, or join Adventure Cycling now and start receiving Adventure Cyclist magazine, our award winning member publication dedicated to bicycle travel around the world.

A Space for Stories – After a long ride, gathered around campfires and cook stoves with tasty food or hot coffee, cyclists often turn to storytelling. But for days you’re not on the road, we have launched two social networking spaces where you can still share with other cyclists. Leave your comments, photos, or best bicycle travel tale with us on Facebook or, visit us on MySpace.

Organized Camaraderie that Lasts – One of our 2008 tour participantsGuided Tours said this about our guided tours, "I am very grateful for the friends I've made on my Adventure Cycling tours. Though we live in different parts of the US we now plan a yearly adventure cycling event together. The tours seem to attract very interesting people and I enjoy meeting other new cyclists every year, in addition to getting to spend time with friends I've met on past trips. THANKS!” Plan now to meet your cycling pals on the road next season, check out the 2009 tours.
