The freedom that comes from taking bicycle
trips is so natural
and personal that it could almost go unnoticed. Bicycle trips can follow any path for any reason. You are free to pick your route, set your own timeline, and ride as hard as you like.
Bicycle trips are true adventures. There may not be someone
always on hand to help out, but this is the exciting
part. Summoning the inner strength to continue in the face of all obstacles - a steep mountain, curvy road, or barking dogs -
is the great test of a rider’s strength. Bike trips - whether they are cross-country bike treks, weeklong bicycle tours, or simply an overnight outing - provide a kind of confidence that can never be lost, and allow time and space for self-discovery.
Adventure Cycling Association’s mission is to inspire people of all ages to travel
by bicycle for fitness, fun, and self-discovery.
We create bike routes and maps for our Adventure Cycling Route Network, lead bike tours, publish Adventure Cyclist magazine for our membership, work on bicycle advocacy projects such as the U.S. Bicycle Route System, sell bike gear, and provide bicycle travel information. Self-contained bike trips are our specialty.
